By showcasing this black and white line abstract portrait without visible facial features, I wanted to get a viewer’s attention hoping to inspire a moment of recollection.
We always want to see what is hidden and have an interest in what is not shown in front of us. This interest can take the form of quite an intense feeling, a sort of conflict between the visible that is hidden and the visible that is present.
This portrait raises the mystery and leaves it up to the viewer’s imagination. There are no eyes, no lips, no facial expressions, emotions, age, or gender.
The portrait has no identity which is not important because they could be anyone and they are everyone.
We often think we know what other humans are like, what they feel, what they think, and who they are. But no matter how hard you try, you will never truly know others, you will never see their true face and their true self. We see what other people want us to see and their true nature is facing the other way which is not on display. The beauty of this portrait lies in its questions, not in its answers which I wanted to depict in this portraiture – what’s hidden doesn’t mean it cannot be visible.

Refund Policy
If you are simply unhappy with your painting, you may return it within 7 business days from the date of delivery. You must package the painting in exactly the same fashion as it was when it arrived to you. I will email you my mailing address to return the painting.
Return shipping fees and shipping charges, are the customer’s responsibility.
Once I have the painting in perfect condition, we can proceed with a refund (minus shipping charges) or with choosing a new piece (of equal or lesser value).
Commissioned original artworks are made-to-order and therefore not eligible for returns or exchanges.
Returns will not be accepted for any artwork that has been stretched, cropped, or altered in any capacity after purchase.
