Fine Art Prints are made with pigment-based, high-quality archival inks using a high-resolution large-format inkjet printer. All prints are finished with a matte coating (also called satin canvas due to the subtle shine running through it) that protects the surface against scratches and fingerprints while enhancing the richness and vibrancy of the colors.
This one-of-a-kind print is made from my original surreal acrylic painting “Unbound”. In this artwork, I tried to display a visual metaphor for embracing your true self and defying the influence of those around us. The contrast of the large and small faces conveys a message of individuality and authenticity.
The big face, with its wide open mouth, prominent teeth, and protruding tongue, represents the genuine expression of your unique identity. It symbolizes the courage to be bold, to speak your truth, and to showcase your authentic self to the world.
In contrast, the small face on the tongue represents the influence of external expectations and the desire to conform.
It reveals the pressures from the people around us who we believe care, urging us to conform and hide our true selves in order to blend in with the crowd and remain “small” and subdued.
Through this artwork, I wanted to send a message that we are not meant to be carbon copies of the masses and that we should embrace the uniqueness that sets us apart.
