This original abstract expressionism acrylic painting was created with palette knives on gallery-wrapped canvas. I often get inspired by colors and what better way than be inspired by the colors of nature? A blank canvas quickly invited me and aroused the excitement of working with a variety of paint, palette knife gestures, and color compositions that later transformed into visual sensations. Abstract expressionism gives me the desire to create art.
This style of my artwork does not refer to anything that can be seen and instead focuses on the formal qualities of a picture such as colors, shapes, and textures. In this painting, I portray the reality of the phenomenal world by discarding irrelevant details. I always get inspired while spending time in nature which makes me feel happier, humble, and grateful for being a part of what is beautiful and real.
I love the feeling when time slows down in nature while hours, minutes, and seconds, melt away. Earth, rivers, mountains, and trees… my mind wanders while admiring silent canyons, babbling creeks, and growing green gardens. I feel awe, joy, and whole again. Being in nature reminds us that we are connected to all living things and that we are a part of nature that helps us to live lives of meaning and joy.
Abstract expressionism painting leads me to be open and transparent about my feelings and emotions. Colors play a dominant role in this artwork where I translated my love for nature as its beauty takes my breath away.
