This black and white abstract face line acrylic painting was created on gallery wrap canvas size 16″x12″x1.5″.
This abstract portrait was first created on paper and because I liked it so much I also decided to paint it on a small and large size canvas in color and black and white
My intention was not to draw something “properly”, trying to show perfect skills but rather let the unconscious mind take over to discover different sides of my personality. I allowed myself to let go and enjoy the journey into the recesses of my own mind. And like a voyage over uncharted seas, I had no idea what I would find but I let my inner child speak by visualizing what was hidden deep within my thoughts.
What I ended up with was staggeringly evocative. This black-and-white face artwork draws attention to the surreal imperfection that made me think “life is not perfect, and we are not perfect”. But making mistakes and learning from them is better than faking perfection. There is no need to be perfect to inspire others, instead, let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfections.
Everyone has flaws, and that’s what makes us human – individual beings with unique characteristics.
And life is not perfect either, but it goes on. And when we learn to fully embrace both its beauty and its weakness, we create the opportunity to live victorious in both.
